BlackMill Games and M2H have released Tannenberg as an open beta. The game is a standalone expansion from their previous World War 1 shooter, Verdun, and moves players to the battles of the Eastern Front. It’s available now via Steam Early Access with either a Standard or Supporter purchase available. There’s also a 20% discount for those who already own Verdun, running until December 1st, 2017.
The game includes four maps, four squads including the Russian Cossacks and Austro-Hungarian K.u.K, and 20 new weapons. Plus a new game type, named Maneuver, in which teams of 32 have to either encircle their enemy or avoid beind surrounded.
If you liked Verdun, or indeed want to experience more World War 1 action after sampling the big budget rival Battlefield 1, then it’s worth taking a look. The game is due for a full release in Q1 2018. All the planned content is already in the game, but the early access is allowing for final tweaks to graphics, audio and balancing.
